Meet
Erica Rubino, RD, LD, CDCES
Hello, my name is Erica Rubino, owner of Nutrition-Focused Health!
I love being a dietitian and have had the privilege of working in this field for the last 8 years, working with clients spanning from young children to elderly adults. The majority of that time I worked with diverse communities in federally qualified health centers. I was a part of integrated medical teams in two different primary care clinics, focusing on chronic diseases and prevention, in addition to inpatient and outpatient nutrition. Making dietary changes is hard, and I understand that. I’m here to be not just your dietitian, but your champion and advocate. Reaching our health goals is never a linear path. It comes with roadblocks, twists, and turns, which is okay. We are all human. Change is difficult, but it is a lot easier with a nutrition professional guiding and supporting you in the process. My passion and areas of expertise are diabetes and cardiovascular disease, though I have significant experience working with a wide range of health conditions. I firmly believe eating well doesn’t have to be as expensive as what the media portrays. Healthy eating can be achieved regardless of income levels when you know what to look for.
Who am I? I’m a dietitian who loves this field of work. I have the privilege of living in Montana and it’s the best place I’ve ever lived. Here are some fun facts about me.
- I LOVE eating and prefer having many different flavors in one bite.
- I prefer savory over sweet flavors. I have occasionally licked pure salt off my hand.
- I learned how to bake my own bread in 2020 and continue doing so. My favorites are sourdough, naan, and challah.
- I’m from Brazil and am fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I love rice and stand behind its importance around the world.
- My husband and I are obsessed with our dog, Roscoe. He is the bestest boy.
- I thoroughly dislike celery. There’s a good chance I’ll tell you about it when we meet.
